PIR Detector WXS-RAM

The OPTEX WXS-RAM is a wireless outdoor 180° PIR detector with intelligent anti-masking, designed for reliable perimeter and approach protection of residential and commercial properties. The detector provides wide-area coverage of up to 12 metres at low mounting height and 9 metres when high mounted.

Four PIR sensors provide double-layered detection on the left and right sides, with individually adjustable detection areas and sensitivity.
This allows the detector to be adapted to the surrounding environment and helps reduce false alarms, including those caused by small animals.
Separate alarm outputs for the left and right detection areas make the WXS-RAM particularly suitable for CCTV-assisted security applications.

The detector supports low mounting at 0.8–1.2 metres or high mounting at 2 metres.
It operates from a 3–3.6 VDC lithium battery supply and has an extremely low standby current of just 19 μA, helping provide long battery life.

OPTEX specifies battery life of up to approximately five years depending on battery type and detection interval.

The WXS-RAM features an IP55-rated housing and is designed for outdoor operation in temperatures from -30°C to +60°C.

The wireless transmitter and batteries are purchased separately.
