The FLX-A-AM is equipped with anti-masking protection, making it the obvious choice for public premises.
Thanks to the reversible lens, different detection areas can be selected: 15 x 15 m wide-angle (default) or 24 x 2 m long-range. The digital signal processor, newly designed PIR element, and spherical lens are developed for precise and reliable detection throughout the entire coverage area.
The FLX-A series also offers the option to activate creep-zone detection, enabling detection directly below the detector.
The terminal blocks can be easily removed from the detector for simpler cable connection.
The detector is approved for installation at heights between 2 and 3 meters.
A new modern design in acrylonitrile plastic makes it resistant to UV exposure, ensuring that the detector retains its white color.
The FLX-A models feature OPTEX’s patented “Double Conductive Shielding” to filter out radio frequency interference (RFI) and visible light disturbances from sunlight or strong lamps. This innovative feature uses two layers of conductive material to create a robust shield, improving detector reliability, minimizing false alarms, and enabling multidimensional analysis (SMDA).
SMDA detection technology helps the sensor avoid nuisance alarms caused by shadows and changes in temperature or light intensity, which are common in indoor environments.
